Understanding Mental Health.
Mental health is also known as psychological well-being. It includes the way we think, feel, and behave, and our ability to cope with life's challenges and stressors.
Our mental health can be influenced by genetics, upbringing, environment, and life experiences.
We all experience times of good mental health as well as poof mental health. It is normal, but when poor mental health takes over, it can create a sense of a downward spiral and can lead to anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and other mental health disorders. It is important to prioritize and maintain good mental health in order to live a happy and fulfilling life.
Here are some drug-free tools I use and share with my clients, friends, and family that can help prevent that sense of downward spiral.
If you are experiencing poor mental health and you feel out of control, be sure to speak to your health care provider or call your local Mental Health Hotline for help!
