The Keys to Living Longer

As we age, the inability to stand on one leg for 10 seconds can be linked to a slow decline in physical and muscle strength. This can be gradual or as quick as it takes for you to fall!

Research shows that a person in their 50’s will begin to feel and notice that their balance and stability are rapidly going downhill along with their cognitive health. Now that is a frightening thought.

So what do we do now to live a long and vibrant life? It is actually quite simple.

Her are some steps you can take, no matter your age, that will improve your strength and balance creating longevity and vitality till you candle blows out.

1. Improve your leg strength by making movement a priority in your everyday routine: take a walk; climb the stairs several times a day.; Dance, Laugh, JUST STAY ACTIVE!

2. Focus on improving your posture! This will give you better stability and increased energy.

3. Stay hydrated. Everyone need water to help their body function at an optimal level. Dehydration can cause dizziness, fatigue, even fainting... which then could lead to a serious fall.

How much water you ask...There is a formula for just that:

Your Body Weight divided by 2 = the number of OUNCES you need to drink everyday to stay hydrated.
